Chicken Breast with Onion Sauce

Chicken breasts are reasonably priced and healthy, but they tend to get dry in the cooking process. The secret to solving this problem is not to overcook them. You’ll be able to enjoy the soft and juicy texture that way! Fancy having a go?

  • One chicken breast (about 250 grams)
  • One stalk of spring onion.
  • Some wakegi green onions
  • A little bit of salt
  • One tablespoon of sake
  • A little bit of pepper
  • One teaspoon of soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of sesame oil

  1. Boil some water in the pan, add a little bit of salt and boil the chicken breast at a low heat for about 10 minutes.
  2. Leave the chicken in the pan with the lid on.
  3. Finely chop the spring onions, put them into a bowl. Add sake, salt, pepper and soy sauce to the bowl and then mix.
  4. Heat up some sesame oil in the frying pan until it smokes. Pour it into 3) and mix to make the sauce.
  5. Thinly slice the chicken on an angle and place them onto a dish. Pour the sauce on top and sprinkle some wakegi green onions.
