About

This blog is created by us, the Japanese teachers of webjapanese. We teach Japanese professionally in Tokyo and other cities in Japan.

In Japan, more than 90% of the population owns cell phones and most people carry them all the time. Most modern cell phones have a camera function of more than 5 mega pixels or a movie function. That means almost everyone on the street is able to take snapshots that can be used for a newspaper or TV, which we thought quite interesting.

We specialise in teaching Japanese in private lesson settings. The nature of the job requires that we go to workplaces, cafes, our students’ houses and some other places in different cities in Japan. We thought it would be a good idea if we could take some cell phone snapshots of what we’ve seen in various places and update them in our blog. That’s what this blog is about. We hope you enjoy it!

This website is for learners of the Japanese language.
